Users review: As Altmans classic short cuts, and Andersons Magnolia, Crash, from writer / director Paul Haggis weaves a story of several characters through a network of roads, we have come to know that as Los Angeles. Unlike those two other films this one has a very specific topic to explore. From the opening line spoken by Don Cheadle we know that it is to be a film about how people behave, and the exchange that follows between Jennifer Esposito and Alexis Rhee (pretty sure it plays on Korean female driver who rear-ended her) because people tend to refer rejected by ot rshtypjet prejudice.Race is the first or main movie, and all our prejudices that people get twisted and turned through the intricate plot. With each additional character will find another assumption, another stereotype, and then see how the character develops destroyed as bias. This is a credit to skillfully written script, tight direction and outstanding acting talent that every one of these characters more fully realized , mainly on the screen without ever feeling a dimensional.I would like to discuss some of the details of what you will explain and this is done, but part of the magic of this film is allowing yourself to be taken on this trip. Mind you, it's not fun driving. The first half of the film is relentless in its ferociousness. I can really feel my anger at some of the characters forming a fever pitch. Fear and hatred I faced was not only on screen, but in the pit of my stomach. And in an absolutely brilliant moment is literally crying in anticipation of horror is taking place, only to be cathartic published in ; way.Mr. Haggis was the most unexpected present at the show I saw and explained that the idea for this film came to him one night sometime after 9/11 at about 2:00, when memories experienced its massive drive from 10 years ago would not leave him alone. It is clear that this film was his way of releasing these demonëte memory, using a catharsis to free his art and this gives the , all of cinema viewers the opportunity to examine our own prejudices about race relations and how we treat each other and think for themselves. He mentioned in the discussion after wards that he wants to make movies that are forcing people to confront difficult issues. Movies that ask people to think after the film finished and just left saying it was nice film. This a beautiful movie, and I will I expect that this will cause a lot of discussion in the weeks that followed, when it opens nationwide. His long discussion about this place, and it took a Canadian to bring the issue to the fore in this excellent , thought provoking film.
